Principal’s Points:
How appreciative we are for the donations coming in for the upcoming Christmas visit to the grandparents at the care home.

Patience is the new “Fruit of the Spirit” for November. Pastor Jackson from the Shiloh SDA Church had our chapel and November 1st to kick it off and talked about being faithful while we are waiting for things in life like Joseph in the Bible.

We look forward to seeing you at Spartanburg SDA Church this Sabbath to hear and see our students in ministry for the church service. You are invited to join the church potluck afterwards so bring a dish and we can fellowship together!

As a school, we have the opportunity to GIVE at this season of Thanksgiving. We have been approached by a care home to visit them and share some cheer over the holidays. Toiletries such as toothpaste, brushes, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and such personal items for the residents are requested. In the school office you can place these items if you would like to contribute. Teach your child to be a giver by helping please!

We want to recognize the students who ended the First Quarter with perfect attendance. Perfect attendance means no absences and no tardies. Great job everyone!
K-1: Hannah Watson, Jacqui Kopstein
2-3: Rhys Kopstein, Gabrielle Foster
4-6: Jessica Decker, Thomas Decker
7-8: Rachel Whalley, Mark Fowler

Please remember that Saturday, November 9, is the day the Angelic Voices Choir (grades K-3) will perform for the church service in the Spartanburg SDA Church sanctuary. The grades K-3 choir will also be doing outreach by singing for the Woodruff Church on Saturday, November 23.

The seventh and eighth grade class won the box tops competition by a landslide! it was announced they were the winners Friday at chapel. Home and School will give them a special dessert this week for their efforts. Thank you Mrs. Heather Colburn for leading out in this fundraising project and to all those who contributed.

Friday, November 15 is half a day of school due to required teacher meetings. The daycare will be open if you need their services.

Our School-wide Thanksgiving Dinner will be Tuesday, November 26, in the gym @ 11:30 am. Bring a home lunch or order the traditional fare with a hot lunch. We are asking each family to bring one pie to share of their choice. Ice cream will be free to all for a special dessert with the pies. Parents, if you are going to order hot lunch please make your reservation in the school office.

Do you want a great cutlery product to give for the holidays with 20% off and 40% going to a good cause: the 7th and 8th graders? Well, go online to “RadaFundRaising.com” and order under our group: Eddlemon Adventist School. You’ll love the product and we’ll love you for helping!!
