Principal’s Points:
My homeroom of seventh and eighth graders went on a field trip to Milliken Industries on Monday courtesy of Mrs. Jeannie Fehl who works there for the  hospitality department. The mission of the company is “to do good”. They want to make life better for people while not harming our planet by being mindful to save our resources, and cause minimal impact to our environment through pollution and trash. Our school mission is “committed to Christ and dedicated to service”. We want to be doing good things with Christ’s help in our school, homes, and in our neighborhood too!

Thank You to Alex Boughman’s Family!
Notice anything different in our school hallways? We have words to live by like: praise, explore, share, grow, connect, change, inspire, serve, rejoice, achieve, dream, and create! Thank you to Alex Boughman’s family for putting the words up. Good job!

Snow Ski Fieldtrip (upper grades) Survey:
Included only in grades 4-6 folders today is a survey we need parents/guardians to look at, fill-out and return. Adventist Christian Academy Charlotte, and Mt. Pisgah Elementary have annual fieldtrip days to have students snow ski for one or several days each year. Would that be something for EAS to be involved in too? Please give us your feedback. Thank you!

Note that students start Gymnastics class at 3:15 when there is class so Mrs. Robyn Blake requested they wait in Colburn Hall with the dismissal group until class starts.

Basketball practice is off to a great start with 15 players! Note that students start Basketball Practice at 3:15 so they must wait in Colburn Hall with the dismissal group until the coach calls you or it is 3:15 PM. You can still join!

WHEN: Mondays, 3:15-4:45 PM
GRADE: 3-8
TIME: 3:15-4:45 PM
COST: $20.00
HEAD COACH: Kirk Burgin 843.458.4424

We will celebrate 100 days of school on Spirit Day Friday, January 31. In preparation for our 100th day celebration, we ask all students to join the fun by wearing an item of clothing that has 100 objects attached.

It’s just this simple: If someone comes in and purchases mulch, and mentions our schools name when ordering, CJ Mulch and More LLC Team will donate 50 cents per yard ordered back to our school. There is no limit, there is no strings attached. They have made this a never ending agreement. A brochure will be sent home with more information.

Do you want a great cutlery product to give for the holidays with 20% off and 40% going to a good cause: the 7th and 8th graders? Well, go online to “RadaFundRaising.com” and order under our group: Eddlemon Adventist School. You’ll love the product and we’ll love you for helping!

The time is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4 PM in Colburn Hall. Nine students came for Math tutoring this Tuesday. Mr. Bob said that he would like to have forty students! He is happy to offer his help free of charge. He would welcome other adults to also volunteer to help tutor students in Math so they could be helped quickly. He daily comes to Mrs. Johnson’s ⅘ grade Math class to assist. Thank you Mr. Bob!

Watch WSPA channel 7 for potential school closings.  EAS does not automatically follow Spartanburg County.  There are times the county closes for reasons that do not apply to us.  However, the safety of our students and families are always of utmost concern.  If it is unsafe to be on the roads where you live, please remain at home where it is safe.

** If you need the services of the daycare, please also watch WSPA channel 7 for their daycare closings.  The daycare may not necessarily coincide with our hours during inclement weather.
