If your child is sick and has a fever please keep your child home. Your child has to be fever free for 24 hours without taking any medication.

Inclement weather: If roads are snowy or icy, please watch WSPA Channel 7 News for the information regarding school closings. Both EAS and ECDC have their own listings separate from the public schools. Always keep in mind that the safety of your family is our primary concern. Regardless of whether school is closed, never venture out if conditions in your area are unsafe.

As the warmer months are upon us, it is important to start routinely checking our children’s heads for lice. Airline seats, slumber parties, and movie theater seats are places that can unfortunately host these unwanted critters. We recommend checking your child at least once a week just to ensure they didn’t bring home any unwanted guests. Lice love clean heads and actually shy away from hair that is greasy or has a lot of hair products in it. If you do find lice (or nits), we have the numbers of several places who help with this problem using an extremely effective (guaranteed) heat-based treatment, rather than the chemical treatment that lice are becoming resistant to.
