Home and School Association News
We would like to send a big thank you to all of our families for participating in the Samaritans Purse Christmas shoeboxes. Each student, and several teachers, filled a box for the kids and we are sending a total of 50 boxes!

Another big thank you for coming out to our Chipotle dinner night!  We raised over $250 to use toward school projects!

We are still collecting the UPC labels from Loma Linda and Worthington vegetarian canned foods.  Each label is worth 25 cents as part of the “Labels Make Cents” program!   Please turn these in to the school office.

If you have not done so already, don’t forget to link your Ingles Card, Publix account, or Amazon Smile account to our school.   Thank you so much!

Soccer News
Update:  There is a home soccer game this Wednesday, at 4 pm, with the Mills River School.  There are no further practices this season.  The Parents vs. Kids game has been moved from November 10 to November 17 at 4 pm.

EAS Hot Lunch Program
Nutritious, plant-based lunches are available for EAS students.  The cost is $3.25 per meal or $16.25 per week for grades 1-8.  The cost is $2.25 per meal or $11.25 per week for Kindergarten.  All lunches must be purchased in advance through the school office.  Pizza will continue to be served on Fridays.  Extra slices are available for $1.00 per slice.  On days when hot dogs are on the menu, extra hot dogs may be purchased for $1.00 each.

Lunch Menu:

  • Nov. 13 – Pizza

Place lunch orders with the office.  All lunches must be prepaid.

Hoodies
As it starts to get colder, some questions have arisen as to acceptable hoodies and sweaters for in-school use.  The handbook states:  “Sweaters: Solid color sweaters. No sweatshirts/hoodies are allowed unless distributed by the following; EAS, Pathfinders, ALIVE, Mount Pisgah Academy or Fletcher Academy.”  Also acceptable are sweaters and hoodies of a solid color but no writing on them.  Wouldn’t it be great, however, if all students showed school pride by wearing school hoodies!
